The Simpsons: All 13 Christmas Episodes Ranked

11. 'Tis The Fifteenth Season

A retelling of the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, Simpsons style. Sort of. Unfortunately for The Simpsons, Season 15 was one of the worst seasons of the show's history, and it didn't produce the most memorable Christmas special. The plot, such as it is, sees Homer forgetting that he's Lenny's Secret Santa at work. He winds up giving him a pack of Certs, then Burns cancels the Christmas bonus but gives Homer a Joe DiMaggio rookie card for Bart, which Homer in turn sells to Comic Book Guy. Lost yet? The family uses the money from the baseball card to go shopping, and Homer promises them a Christmas tree, but spends the cash on himself. The family is peeved, Homer winds up watching a version of A Christmas Carol, then goes out and tries to become the nicest guy in town - bringing him into conflict with Flanders. The convoluted plot highlights everything wrong with mid-teen years Simpsons, making this one a bit of a Christmas dud.
