Mayor Quimby is the one constant in Springfield you can always rely on. He has seemingly been the mayor of Springfield for basically, well forever, despite his infamous womanising ways, his blatant misuse of taxpayers public money and his many admissions of fraud and indecency.
Although the townsfolk are very familiar with his often corrupt ways (and yet still vote for him), Mayor Quimby himself can be less familiar with the happenings going on in his own city. He is often naive of what is going on in Springfield and generally isn’t a great mayor!
