Who doesn't love a show that is filled with love and vampires?

When The Vampire Diaries first aired in 2009, it quickly attracted a huge audience. The first season averaged 3.60 million viewers and quickly became the most-watched series on The CW.

Set in the fictional town of Mystic Falls, the series followed Elena Gilbert who fell madly in love with a mysterious vampire named Stefan Salvatore. Played to perfection by Paul Wesley, Stefan was intelligent, compassionate, and nothing like his brother Damon. He was definitely the Golden Boy.

It's fair to say that Stefan had many ups and downs over the years, but with his friends and family beside him, he could get through even the most dark of times. He wasn't alone in the shadows for very long!
