The Episode: Start to Finish
In the grand scheme of the season, the midseason finale didn't deliver as much as it could have, instead spending the hour repositioning the various characters in advance of the far more powerful "No Way Out." That said, despite being overshadowed by its better half, the episode did manage to send off Alexandria's leader in poignant fashion.
Partway through the hour, Deanna was bitten, putting a ticking clock on her life that didn't bode well for the other characters trapped in the house with her. Fortunately, she managed to bestow some powerful final words upon Michonne and Rick, and when the group finally made a push to escape and face the horde outside, Deanna stayed behind and took her life into her own hands, opting to square off against the walkers that had invaded the house rather than bite a bullet.
