6. Lori
Apart from Andrea, Lori was probably the second most hated character in the show. Some hate her because she cheated on Rick with Shane. But I dont see that as much of a problem because she did think Rick was dead and considering the circumstances, people are going to look for comfort where they can. Others hate her because she said that it was a mans job to protect the camp and the women should be the housewives. Again, it might not be politically correct but maybe that was what she believed. And perhaps it was her way of keeping herself and Carl safe. But the reason I dont like her and the reason she underwhelmed was because she was just so badly written that she became annoying fast. In the comics she is a pain and the hope was that in the TV show, there might be more dimensions to her other than being an anchor around Ricks neck. But that wasn't the case. It seems that apart from Maggie (to an extent) they struggle to write female characters. When she wasn't moaning, she was flip-flopping between Rick and Shane. Even after Shane tried to rape her, she didn't behave in a coherent manner. Then out of nowhere, she asks Rick to kill Shane. Her behaviour wasn't believable. I did like Loris death. It was upsetting but more so from Carls perspective. I cant image a c-section without anaesthetic is a lot of fun. And once she was gone, there weren't many people who missed her.
