The Walking Dead: 10 Dumbest Character Decisions

4. Andrea Chooses The Governor

By the time season three rolled around Andrea had already demonstrated her poor decision making skills plenty of times. But her romantic involvement with the cyclopean psychopath the Governor is no doubt her worst seeing as how it ultimately gets her killed. Unlike the far more observational Michonne, Andrea was completely blinded by the obvious darkness brewing underneath his charming facade. This was only enhanced by the feeling of security Woodbury provided. Michonne, sensing something was wrong, wanted to leave, but Andrea wanted to stay. At this point it's difficult to be too hard on Andrea. Who wouldn't be enticed at the prospect of safety in a world where it is hard to come by? Not everyone has the same intuition skills. But as the season went on and Rick and the Governor descended into all out war, Andrea insisted on sticking by the Governor even when he threatened to kill her prior group, including Michonne. Eventually she saw the light but at that point it was too late. All of it could have been avoided had she fled as soon as the Governor showed his true colors. What made her look even more dumb is that she sided with him over Michonne, a person she had survived with for months. You would think she would trust Michonne's judgment over some guy she'd only just met. For whatever reason, Andrea's attraction to the Governor and Woodbury trumped a friend whom she depended on for survival. And she paid for it. But hey, it's kind of hard to feel sorry for someone when they can't help but make bad decisions. The group is probably better off without her.
