The Walking Dead: 10 Greatest Jesus Moments
9. Rescuing Daryl
The Walking Dead's seventh season was incredibly tough to get through. The creative decision to devote several feature-length episodes to a bunch of uninteresting characters was a rather odd one, and it ultimately resulted in very little plot development. However, there were a few moments of brilliance scattered throughout and one of them occurred in mid-season finale, Hearts Still Beating.
After discovering the location of Negan's Savior Sanctuary from the back of a truck (more on that later), the long-haired warrior could've quite easily ran back to Hilltop to relay the information to his peers. However, that loyalty of his wouldn't allow him to do so, and instead he stuck around the compound in the hopes of rescuing Daryl from his captivity.
Mind you, Daryl didn't particularly need Jesus' help, as he'd managed to get out of the compound all on his own. However, Jesus aided in his escape, and was primarily responsible for getting him back to Hilltop safe and sound. If not for Jesus' input, Daryl's story might've been very different.
