The Walking Dead: 10 Greatest Jesus Moments

7. Training Aaron

Andrew Lincoln's departure from The Walking Dead might've come as a shock to many, but the bigger shock is that his absence has added a fresh vibe to the series, which feels more like an ensemble piece now than it ever did before. The fresh new dynamic aided in setting up the new normal for the hit series, which jumped six years into the future, where viewers found out that their favourite characters had evolved quite a bit during the time lapse.

A conflict between the communities, which was seemingly initiated by Michonne, meant that many of the Hilltop dwellers were unable to interact with their friends at Alexandria. Jesus, however, refused to comply with this rule, and set off to meet with Aaron in Stradivarius. Prior to the jump, Aaron had asked Jesus to train him, and when the two reunited in Stradivarius, it was evident that the long-haired martial artist had agreed to Aaron's request, as the two messed about in the woods.

It's a shame that Jesus' demise came so soon after this, as his relationship with Aaron held a lot of potential, and it would've been nice to see the two characters enjoy a bit of happiness for once.
