9. Carl Loses An Eye

Carl won't die in the ensuing chaos caused by Sam opening his mouth, but that doesn't mean he'll be getting away totally injury free. In the comics, which follows a similar plot line of the survivors trying to escape the hoard, Jessie and Ron are bitten by walkers. Rick chops off Jessie's hand, because she wouldn't let go of Carl's, but then Douglas Monroe is swarmed by walkers. He blindly fires his gun, and ends up shooting Carl in the eye, blinding him and taking off part of his face. The show won't follow that plot exactly - for a start Deanna was the version of Douglas, and she's dead - but you can still count on Carl taking a bullet. It'd be a completely outrageous moment, and one too big to pass up. I don't think they'll have Jessie bitten at this point (though that's probably just what they want us to think), but it's not a stretch to imagine Ron being the one to fire the gun and leave Carl blinded.
