The Walking Dead: 10 Moments That Most Pissed Off Fans

9. The Unnecessarily Bloated Episodes

Not a moment per se, but certainly a series of them, one thing that often got to fans was how AMC would often reel them in with the promise of special extended episodes - many of which weren't even finales - only for nothing of significance to happen in them.

It's well-documented how slow-moving a show The Walking Dead is, so overbloating an episode here or there during a period when fans were growing weary just results in the content becoming that much more diluted.

A recent example is the Season 7 episode 'Service' in which Negan came to Alexandria for the first time to take a portion of Rick and the gang's stuff and thangs. An episode with a special 60-minute run length, it ended up playing out exactly like you'd expect it to: Negan and The Saviors show up, Negan outwits Rick with words, Negan spouts a corny monologue (or five), Negan and The Saviors leave after shopping at Alexandria.

All of this could have been accomplished in the usual 42-47 minute run-time and, in all honesty, the episode would have ran a lot smoother if it had.

Seriously, less is more.
