The Walking Dead: 10 Things Season 6 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

7. Fringe Characters Not Pulling Their Weight

On the flip side of not utilising main characters, at least it meant we could learn more about the amassing pile of fringe characters. Well, we didn't. Father Gabriel openly asked to be helped by Carl, who said he'd train him with weapons, and nothing came of it. Gabriel isn't a great character, but he's trying to make amends and the writers aren't giving him anything. Eugene, Rosita, Tara and so many more characters simply aren't necessary, and they're not even being gifted with a stunning death, they're just existing in the world and taking screen time away from the characters we actually care about. Aaron, Jessie and Abraham are improving but they won't reach their potentials if the other fringe characters continue to offer nothing.
