The Walking Dead: 10 Things Season 6 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

5. The Glenn 'Shock'

The Walking Dead writers watched Game of Thrones, got jealous of their internet-breaking hype, and slotted in their own 'is he/isn't he?' death. Okay, so that's probably not what happened, but unfortunately TWD's attempt at creating a suspenseful, ongoing storyline unfortunately backfired. I was stunned, shocked, and wide-eyed watching Glenn's barbaric death unfold. It was utterly brutal, completely out of nowhere, and provided a huge loss for the characters to mourn. The whole scene was carried out perfectly, and while I didn't want to see Glenn go, once he was down, by the laws of the show he simply had to stay down. Fans came up with theories as to how he could weasel out of the situation, and they were right, Glenn returned after a ludicrous escape where the walkers simply 'got bored and walker away'. It ruined the whole gritty nature of the show, and took the impact out of the brilliant death scene. I'm glad Glenn is alive, but I'm not glad watching the processes to get him that way.
