The Walking Dead: 12 Best Cult Heroes

7. Dale

T-Dog The Walking Dead
AMC

Of all the characters to have died so far, Dale has proven to be one of the biggest misses. Not because he’s the best fighter or even the most interesting character, but he’s one the group could do with in pretty much any situation.

He served as the show’s moral compass in Season 1 and 2, a father figure with a kind-heart as a counterpoint to all of the violence around him, and he managed to keep the group together through the hard times.

Thanks to Carl not being able to kill a walker, Dale had his guts ripped out by a walker, but maybe it was a blessing in disguise. Seeing the war-zone of Season 3, and the madness that has followed Rick ever since, he is definitely in a better place.
