The death of Beth could itself have made this list, with fans annoyed that one of the most promising characters - one they'd actually gave some degree of development and characterisation to, and had potential for a lot of growth as things progressed - was brutally killed off, especially coming as it did at the end of an arc where the whole point had been finding Beth. Fans even sent boxes of spoons to AMC in protest (referencing a moment in Season 4, where Beth, er, finds a spoon).
What made the whole thing even worse, however, is that AMC actually spoilt the death for fans, posting the image of Daryl carrying her body with the caption 'RIP Beth' on social media, before the episode had aired on the West Coast, ruining the moment for countless viewers. Talk about salt in the wounds.
