The Walking Dead: 5 Characters Who Should Die In Season 6

2. Daryl Dixon

The Walking Dead
AMC

It’s getting harder and harder to find characters who have been there since the beginning. Just Rick, Carl, Carol, Glenn and Daryl, they are the original walker slayers, and each one of them have grown tremendously as people over the course of five seasons. It’s been a real treat to see such strong character development.

Out of these people, Daryl is undoubtedly the fan favorite. He is the crossbow wielding, southern heartthrob that supposedly brings in the viewers, much like Sawyer was to LOST. He has proven to be a very valuable member of the group, developed a close relationship with Carol and experienced incredible loss with the deaths of his brother Merle and Beth.

Why he should die: Daryl’s status as a fan favorite seems to lead people to believe that he is invincible from the Walkers, despite many representatives of the show saying that no one is safe. Too add to that it’s pretty much common knowledge that Daryl and his brothers are AMC creations, not existing in Kirkman’s comics, so they have free reign to do whatever they want.

Fans argue that they would stop watching and ratings would decrease. Let’s be real, they wouldn’t. In fact, such a death would not only be one of the most surprising deaths on the show to date, it would also have a HUGE emotional impact on the remaining characters and it would be interesting to see how it affects them and what storylines that opens up.

Daryl has been around for a long time and his character has pretty much come full circle, his recent role as Alexandria recruiter may run its course soon if season six follows the comic story line. His death would make for the perfect shocking mid or season finale.
