The Walking Dead: 5 Things We Learned From The Mid-Season Premiere

4. Tyreese Gets Bitten

When Tyreese and Noah arrive at his doorstep, the older man insists on being the first inside so that he can make sure the house is clear, They find a woman - presumably Noah's mother - dead on the living room floor and Noah breaks down. While inspecting the house, Tyreese wanders into one of the bedrooms with a body lying on the bed, and begins to soak in the remnants of the family's lives during happier times. As he notices a picture on the wall of two twins, a look of horror and recognition dawns on his face as viewers see an undead young boy approaching stealthily from behind. Ostensibly the look on Tyreese's face was meant to convey the realisation that there were twins in the house, with only one being unaccounted for, but Noah had already shared that information with him during the ride just moments before. Tyreese gets bitten on the forearm and is being overwhelmed until Noah rushes in to his rescue and dispatches his little brother with a model fighter jet to the brain, He tells Tyreese to hold on while he runs to go get help, but while he's gone another walker attacks. This time the big man's strategy is to offer up his already bitten forearm as a zombie chewtoy, distracting the corpse enough for him to re-kill it. At this point you don't know if he can make it through this, but you do know it's been a while since Tyreese has fit into the world these characters inhabit, and his soft nature is what put him in this predicament.
