The Walking Dead: 7 Things "Them" Got Right (And 3 It Didn't)

Blame it on the weather man.

So everything has slowed the heck down after season five's first half, huh? The Walking Dead is settling back more into is usual pattern following last week's mid-season premiere, after it started strong with a collection of episodes that explored the sprawling cast in more detail, with each given a chance to shine, whilst picking up the pace considerably. All of that built to the absolute heart-wrenching death of Beth, the abandonment of another potential €œcure€ and supposed utopian enclave of survivors. Since then, the hope and confidence that built in both the characters and the show seems to be slowly dissolving, with the growing hopelessness and dwindling supplies providing most of the conflict for €œThem€. Still, it wasn't all doom and gloom. From the looks of the last-minute twist and the preview for next week's episode, there's still a fair few tricks left up The Walking Dead's sleeve, and how the heck did that guy know Rick's name, anyway? Ah, just when you think you're done, another of those brilliantly-executed cliffhangers just reels you back in. Picking over one of the more restrained and slow-paced instalments so far this year, with some nonetheless nice character moments and seeds for future storylines (along with more Gabriel bashing and useless zombies), here are seven things the latest episode of The Walking Dead got right...and three it didn't.
