The Walking Dead: Every Major Villain Ranked
5. The Governor
The Governor, played by the ingenious David Morrissey, was a mean mean man and one of the cruelest baddies in the show's history. He, along with his infamous eye patch, has become one of the most iconic figures of the show's history, mostly down to Morrissey's wickedly impersonation of a man on the edge.
When the Governor first arrived, everybody thought he was nice, well adjusted, and a good all-round guy. However, after time went on, it was revealed that the Governor was actually none of those things and was instead an insane mental case with deep issues.
The best thing about the Governor was how realistic he was as a delusional savage and someone who believed their own rubbish. He had a messiah complex where he believed himself to be a God-like figure, shining down on his people and helping them create a new world.
In reality, he was a freak show psychopath with a craving for danger and destruction.
