The Walking Dead: Every Season 10 Episode (So Far) - Ranked Worst To Best

7. Ghosts

The Walking Dead Silence
AMC

After the Whisperer-focused second episode, the show's third returned to life behind walls, with Alexandria set upon by horde after horde of walkers. In the middle of it all, and with the survivors exhausted beyond belief, Gamma showed up to summon some of them to a meeting with Alpha at the border.

It was here that Carol and Alpha finally got to exchange words, with Alpha pushing Carol's buttons and Carol taking a shot at the head Whisperer. Though she failed, the rest of the episode allowed actress Melissa McBride to shine, with Carol's reliance on pills to keep her awake causing a number of problems, such as Michonne and Daryl doubting Carol's belief that she had been watched by Whisperers and Carol hallucinating horrible images of all the children she's lost.

Beyond the heavy focus on Carol, the episode also started pushing Negan into focus for the season, with an entertaining diversion involving he and Aaron out attempting to stop a horde. Like the second episode, though, Ghosts felt like more piece setting on the board for larger things, whether it be Carol's increasing desperation to take down Alpha or Negan's eagerness to prove that he's changed.
