The Walking Dead: Every Season 2 Episode Ranked Worst To Best
12. Cherokee Rose
Cherokee Rose is another hour of filler material, though it features some great moments that would come to hold broader significance over the rest of the series.
Still recovering from life-saving surgery, Carl wonders about the welfare of Sophia whilst Daryl goes out alone to look for her. Lori learns she's pregnant, and Shane continues to elude the truth about what he did to Otis in the previous episode.
Its most infamous development comes from the bloated walker trapped in the farm's well, which is as gross-out horrific as it is darkly amusing, but its best comes from Daryl and his budding friendship with a grieving Carol, a relationship that would go on to form one of the main emotional cores of the show.
A slow and forgettable episode plot-wise, Cherokee Rose is actually pretty strong where character development is concerned, and its lack of narrative progression works only to highlight how the season could have done with a bigger budget... or a lot less episodes.
