The older and more brutal brother of Daryl, Merle (Michael Rooker) was a bitter, cold and complex guy who worked alongside The Governor (David Morrissey) before reuniting with Daryl.

With the main group, he came to his senses and attempted to take out his former boss in an insane suicide mission. Taking out many of Woodbury's soldiers, he is killed by The Governor and left to turn, where he found by his heartbroken brother and put down once and for all.
