The Walking Dead Mid-Season 7 Premiere: 10 Big Questions After 'Rock In The Road'
1. Will They Work With Rick? Why Was He Smiling?
The Alexandrians are surrounded by this new community at the end of the episode, in a situation the looks perilous: they have weapons, which Rick et al don't, and aren't exactly friendly looking.
Despite that, Rick Grimes breaks out into a huge smile, an occurrence so rare it can't help but make you feel a little uneasy watching it. Given the circumstances, just why is Rick grinning like the walker that got the brains?
We, and indeed Michonne and Aaron and Tara, may see a threat, but what's Rick seeing? Weapons? Members of an army?
Will they work with Alexandria against Negan? Assuming, that is, they've also had contact with the Saviours (since every community apparently lives surprisingly close to the others, and all have had dealings with them, it seems a safe bet). Ezekiel and Gregory may have said no, but Rick might've just found his first recruits... whoever they are.
