The Walking Dead: Ranking All 9 Seasons From Worst To Best
1. Season 5
Obviously those of you who have read up until this point will have differing thoughts about the order so far and which season was ultimately the best - that's the beauty of opinion, after all - but for this list, season five stands tall amongst the rest.
After kicking off with the explosive "No Sanctuary," season five stayed in high gear, the gang clashing with Gareth and the Hunters in "Four Walls and a Roof," having their hope about Eugene's cure ripped away in "Self Help," going up against a storm in "Them," and losing Bob, Beth, and Tyreese along the way. And just when all hope seemed lost, Aaron came onto the scene and brought them into Alexandria, where a feral Rick and his band of hardened survivors underwent quite the acclimation process.
Though the Grady Memorial arc in the first half of the season is admittedly divisive, there's more than enough done right in the season to make up for it. Unforgettable moments like the deaths of Noah and Pete Anderson, new faces like Aaron, Gabriel, and Deanna, the introduction of the Wolves, and the return of Morgan - along with many other things - added up for a supremely well-rounded season. Our group was put through the ringer thanks to life on the road before they found much-needed hope in the place they'd eventually come to call home, the end result being The Walking Dead at its action-packed, dramatic, and diverse peak.
