The Walking Dead Season 3: 11 Iconic Comic Moments We Most Likely Won't See

10. Hershel and Billy Greene's Death

In one of the most heartbreaking moments of the series, Hershel and his son Billy attempt to escape the prison after the Governor has attacked. While escaping, Hershel realizes that he is just dragging Billy's dead body with him. A bullet struck his head. He realizes this and kneels down next to his son's lifeless body. Both always fought with each other and Hershel can never say he loves him again. The only family in his life is gone. With no more reason to live, he let's the Governor shoot him. Why We Won't See It: Billy is not on the show. Beth Greene seems to be the replacement for Billy though. How We Could Still See It: Since Beth is the replacement for Billy, this scene is still possible. The Governor is going to attack the prison. That is certain. Beth and Hershel have to escape. They can't fight. Hershel is on crutches and Beth is useless. A reenactment can be done but with Beth in place of Billy. But if Hershel dies then that means we can't see this:

9. Dale's Last Act Before Death

Dale is bitten again by a walker after letting his guard down. Then he is kidnapped by cannibals and wakes up to find pieces of his body being devoured. Also a certain important piece to a man is devoured. Dale would have the last laugh though when he revealed he was already infected. He responds with the iconic line, "You're eating tainted meat!" The cannibals are so angered they beat him up and leave him hanging on a church. Andrea puts him out of misery after finding him. Why We Won't See It: Dale is dead. He died in season 2. There is zero chance that this scene can be recreated because he is dead. How We Could Still See It: Hershel has become the new Dale. Dale had his leg amputated in the prison like Hershel did in the show. Hershel is beginning to adopt similar traits to Dale's comic book counterpart. If he isn't killed in the prison, then he should be killed like comic Dale.
