12. The Terminus Slaughter

It feels like an age since the group found themselves in a desperate situation at Terminus, with so much going on since then. But after starting the season boxed up in a train carriage, Rick, Glenn, Daryl and Bob are hauled into the cannibals' slaughterhouse, along with four other survivors. The killing process is refined, with the other four men being clubbed over the head, before having their throats slit. The music is rumbling and intense, the situation is grim, and the whole scene is generally just excruciating to watch. It's probably one of the most disturbing scenes from the whole show, despite gunfire outside stalling the slaughter long enough for the remaining four to escape.
