8. Amputation Using A Wire
The season took a detour away from the main story into the heart of Atlanta. A change of scenery was long-overdue, and despite garnering criticism from some fans, it was nice to see the show branch out, and give Beth a chance to shine. She wound up in a hospital being run by the delusional Officer Dawn Lerner, and was immediately thrown into action by being forced to pin down one-off character Joan who needed her bitten arm to be amputated. The frantic scene sees Doctor Steven Edwards use a wire to painstakingly remove his patient's arm as she screams in horror. It was a disturbing but necessary step towards keeping her alive.
