4. Maggie Gets Political
The Walking Dead could come across as a typical hack 'n' slash zombie thriller. To an extent, it is, but it can be so much more on top of that. Gregory's discussions with Maggie felt like we were watching an entirely new show, and while they weren't completely explosive scenes, it was great to hear some tough negotiating between the pair. This sort of issue would have been solved with guns, knives and makeshift tools in the past, but here we have two people sitting down discussing the future of their respective communities. That's cool. It opens a wide range of opportunities and Maggie herself has needed a bigger role for some time now. She's a thoroughly decent person, one of the most down-to-Earth left alive, and her story can grow from here.
