It compares to Lori's eye-opening death back in the early days. She too was bumped off at an unconventional time, Season 3 Episode 4, and it proved to be an unpredictable yet excellent twist in the story. Glenn's death proves that nobody is safe, and every minute of every episode could be a character's last. The shock factor is back.
