The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Things The Mid-Season Finale Got Right

8. Practical Effects (Again)

Quite simply, the show looks outstanding. The practical effects team can take an enormous chunk of credit for all of the work they've done on the show, with their masterpiece coming in the form of a roaming, groaning walker herd that could pass for the real thing. Watching hundreds of live actors pouring through the walls of Alexandria gave off a huge sense of scale. The walkers are real. They're human. They are actually there in Alexandria, as opposed to being a load of blokes in motion capture suits or dropped in afterwards from a computer. They're real and nasty, with the right amount of gruesome, and it still wasn't pleasant watching the group gut a pair to use as cloaks.
