The Walking Dead Season 6: 10 Things The Mid-Season Premiere Got Right

4. Andrew Lincoln

I'd also like to reiterate that Andrew Lincoln is utterly phenomenal. I'd go as far as saying Rick Grimes is one of the most perfectly portrayed lead characters on TV today, and Lincoln needs to take a huge chunk of that credit. Rick took some real emotional and physical torture in the mid-season premiere, and Lincoln handled it admirably. From the desperation to keep Sam quiet to the sheer disbelief watching Jessie get overwhelmed, Lincoln's face often says more than a thousand words. After placing Carl down on the operating table, the insane adrenaline rush that carried Rick out into the open, axe in hand was amazing to watch. And if all of that wasn't enough, his moving speech to an unconscious Carl manages to be uplifting and heartbreaking in one go. Mr Lincoln, you sir, are tremendous.
