The Walking Dead enjoys a good metaphor every so often, drawing direct comparisons between characters, situations, locations and anything it deems worthy of adding some deeper meaning to. Episode 15 painted the perfect picture of Carol in the form of a vehicle.
Carol flees Alexandria using one of the reinforced cars from the perimeter of the community, and it couldn't be a more perfect mode of transport. On the surface, it's an average, everyday, family-style, pleasant car, but the new world has meant it is bristling with spikes, spears, and sharp forms of both attack and defence.
