1. The Entire Mid-Season Premiere
As far as The Walking Dead goes, the mid-season premiere was a near-perfect outing for the show. It had everything that makes the series great, condensed into one spectacular episode filled with utter, total carnage.
The episode was one, long, enormous shocking moment, but if you had to narrow it down to one scene, it simply has to be a 5-minute stretch around the mid-point.
Firstly, Sam begins to panic. It's a razor-sharp moment of tension, followed by a bite to the face. Jessie naturally responds with a scream, luring more walkers into devouring her. Meanwhile, the crazed Ron - who has just witnessed his family members' savage deaths - fires a shot, Michonne plunges him with her katana sword, and it transpires that the bullet nailed Carl in the eye.
That simply has to be the scene of the season, arguably one of the greatest in the entire run of the show. It was jaw-dropping, golden TV.
