In a moment that sets the tone whats about to come, Carol casually noses at her neighbour puffing on a cigarette. As we get lulled into a nice sense of false security, from nowhere a dishevelled man appears and attacks the neighbour with a machete. Before you could say Holy smokes, Batman!, wed be introduced to firebombs, homes being invaded, kids hiding in closets, random nameless characters getting offed, and even Carrrrrrrl doing his best Rambo impression. To coin a phrase, the sh*it was most certainly on. Or to paraphrase Danny Dyer, we were about to ave a right old tear-up.
