6. Splatter Cam
In a nice blink-and-youll-miss-it moment, us viewers were allowed to get a little in on the action. As Carol shoots a hole from one of the attacking Wolves, we get a nice splodge of blood spray out on to the screen in an enjoyable (if not tad-indulgent) recognition that were sat watching this gory attack on Alexandria unravel. It was a brief but enjoyable moment, which mildly broke the fourth wall and came across as something that a horror maestro such as Sam Raimi would look to pull off. It may have been minor, but it's a move that would've brought a smile to the face of many a horror hound.
