The Walking Dead Season 6: 18 Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

One of the good things to come from the second season of The Walking Dead was the development of the relationship between Daryl and Carol, as the pair really began to forge their friendship.

A key part of this is when Daryl presents her with a Cherokee rose, in order to comfort her about the missing Sophia. It's a touching moment between two characters who have since become among the closest on the show, and there's a callback to it in Season 6.

When Daryl is in the woods, and been attacked by a walker, there's a Cherokee rose in the scene. When Daryl presented it to Carol he spoke about how it represented hope, and this is perhaps a sign of them trying to cling to that even now - or, the fact that it's more hidden could mean hope is lost. Or it could just be a throwback to that scene for the sake of a reference, but whatever the reason it's a nice touch.
