The Walking Dead: Season 6 Comic-Con Trailer Breakdown
2. Daaaa-ryl... Daaaa-ryl...
Just when you thought the trailer was coming to an end, after three-and-a-half minutes full of mystery and mayhem, there was one last twist to the tale. Cue a shot of Daryl in a rather sticky predicament, tied up with a gun to his head. It doesn't really look good for him at this point, but who is his assailant? It doesn't seem to be one of the Wolves, so could this be one of he Alexandria members that got kicked-out? That's perhaps the most plausible explanation, although a total fan-pleasing moment would be if this were one of the Saviours, heralding the impending arrival of a certain foul-mouthed, baseball-bat-swinging foe. Daryl's response is to their threat is: "I ain't who you think I am." It begs the question of who exactly they think he is. Could this group be after Rick instead? We see him breaking his bonds, making a run for it, aiming his crossbow, and another particularly creepy looking walker, before the final shot of Daryl stood in some sort of ditch, wondering just how in the hell he got into this mess. So while he does thankfully seem to make his escape, he quite literally isn't out of the woods yet.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
