The Walking Dead Season 7: 3 Things 'Sing Me A Song' Got Right (And 4 It Got Wrong)
2. More Michonne
One of the victims of Season 7's insistence on telling insulated stories has been Michonne, who has had nowhere near enough screentime this year.
She's only had brief appearances in three episodes before this one, with the biggest coming in episode four, where she was wanting to strike back against Negan. That rebellion is coming to fruition this week, which starts with Michonne being her badass self and killing some walkers with her katana.
It's only later we realise the purpose of this: to create a roadblock for one of the Saviours. It leads to her overpowering the driver, and commanding her to drive her to Negan. And, again, involves Michonne being badass, when the Saviour attempts to take back control. Don't try that sh*t with Michonne.
It's still not a lot, but at least she's getting some cool scenes and a potentially interesting storyline. Except, of course, Negan's not at the Sanctuary, but it does mean the storylines are going to converge somewhat - and all those individual rebellions could become a bigger whole sooner rather than later.
