The Walking Dead Season 7: 5 Ups And 3 Downs From 'Go Getters'

1. It Felt Like A Slog At Times

The worst thing about this episode is that it felt, at a number of points, really quite boring. Not bad, not stupid, just very dull.

That's not to say it didn't work on some levels - as covered, there was some solid work here for Sasha and Maggie in particular - but it was another episode of Season 7 where the show really dragged its heels. Ironically for an episode titled 'Go Getters', there's very little that actually happens here, save for the end, and a number of scenes feel redundant, or at least like they go on a bit too long. It goes round in circles, asking the same questions and giving the same answers.

The two split storylines aren't enough to really fill the time, and it still feels like The Walking Dead is just meandering around at the moment without much purpose. There are better things to come (hopefully, anyway, as the rebellion against Negan starts in earnest), but it's feeling like a bit of a slog getting there over the past couple of episodes.
