The Walking Dead Season 7: 6 Ups And 4 Downs From 'Say Yes'

2. Rosita's Sulking

Rosita's current arc is one of the worst on the show at the moment, and unfortunately this episode a) devotes a fair bit of time to it, and b) does nothing to improve it, and if anything makes it worse.

Since the death of Abraham she's been keen on revenge, something that's only intensified since the deaths of Olivia and Spencer and the capture of Eugene. In essence it's not too dissimilar to the other revenge-fuelled storylines we've seen, most recently (and pertinently) Daryl's. The big difference is how one-note Rosita, and thus her story, has become.

She's just gotten angrier and sulkier as time's passed, blaming not just herself but everyone else, from Rick to Father Gabriel (maybe if she hadn't somehow hit a bat from close range, rather than the person she was aiming for, this wouldn't be an issue). It's just the same repeated beats every time she appears on screen, and it isn't entertaining or interesting to watch, but rather infuriating to see.
