The Walking Dead Season 7: 9 Things That Will (Probably) Happen Next
Things are finally looking up for The Walking Dead, but what will happen as it nears the end of S7?
There's been a notable change in The Walking Dead since its return from the mid-season break.
Whereas the first eight episodes were filled with despair, now there is hope. A light has been found amidst the darkness, and Rick's group are ready to fight back - and even crack a smile in the process.
This has led to a noticeable uptick in quality as well. The show still isn't great, exactly (though you could argue the series is well past its peak anyway), but the last two episodes have been considerably more enjoyable than most of what came before. Things are happening, there's a forward momentum, storylines are coalescing.
We've got more new communities on the board, characters back together, and the build-up to a bigger event is really starting to take shape.
It won't be easy, there'll be lots of casualties, but the final stretch of Season 7 is shaping up to bring more victories on the march to war.
9. Rick Gets A Win
Rick is on the road to recovery. He's got his mojo back, he's leading the troops once again, and he's ready to go at the Saviours and Negan when the time is right.
This is all building towards a major war, but it seems unlikely we won't get a couple of smaller skirmishes with the Saviours along the way.
The Alexandrians could really do with a win right now. For all they've started getting their groove back, they're still largely beholden to the Saviours, and haven't had a real victory since taking out one outpost back in Season 6.
Rick will need to prove, to Alexandrians, other communities, and himself, that they can indeed succeed in fighting back, and that means overcoming the Saviours in a smaller battle first.
