The Walking Dead Season 7 Finale: 10 Things That Should Happen

9. Kill Off A Few Supporting Players

The Walking Dead has long struggled to juggle its large cast, which only ever seems to get bigger despite the seemingly slim odds of that the longer an apocalypse goes on.

At the moment, however, it does have some justification for having so many bodies; namely, they're soldiers. That means we're going to see a fair few characters on their way out over the course of the All Out War storyline, whether it lasts the first half of Season 8 or the entirety of it.

Even before then, though, the series could do with getting rid of a few supporting players in the season finale, as a means of thinning the herd and really establishing the stakes of the impending battle.

Jared is one such character, given he's a recognisable Saviour but without much to add, and his death would be sweet. You can add in almost any named background character from the other communities (Tobin, Dr Carson, Tamiel, anyone but Jerry really), while the likes of Gabriel or Rosita have had arcs that suggest death may be coming their way, and neither are quite at the top level of being a major death. There's a lot of cannon fodder basically, and it's time to start firing.
