The Walking Dead Season 7 Finale: 9 Big Questions We Need Answers To

8. Will Maggie Start Leading The Hilltop?

In a sense, Maggie already is leading the Hilltop. In Something They Need we see her referred to as "Bosslady", and it's clear she has a much better idea of how to both deal with walkers and tend to the future needs of the community.

It seems like it'll only be a matter of time, then, before she assumes the role proper. If the Hilltop is going to really commit to joining the war alongside Rick, Ezekiel et al, then it'd be far better off with Maggie at the helm than Gregory.

Furthermore, if he is indeed off to the Saviours, then it could well make his position untenable, as many Hilltop residents would side with Maggie over him (and that's if the Saviours don't kill him for complaining). Maggie will take over the Hilltop, and it'd be better to have it happen sooner rather than later.
