The Walking Dead Season 7: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best

11. Richard

We were introduced to Richard early on in Season 7, with the character serving as a key cog in Ezekiel's Kingdom. It quickly became apparent, however, that he was different to the others; there was a more hardened feel to the character, and a sense he wasn't as happy with the peace as the others.

That gradually increased over the course of the season, in what was a pretty solid character arc, as his hatred of the Saviours and desire to fight back grew, even when it was at odds with his King.

It all resulted in his plan, which surrounded misplacing a cantaloupe and hoping the Saviours would kill him, thus prompting Ezekiel into action. It all backfired, of course, with Benjamin dying instead. Richard was then the victim of Morgan snapping back, killing him with his own hands, but not before we got some more of Richard's tragic backstory that explained why he was so desperate to fight back.
