The Walking Dead Season 9: 10 Big Questions We Need Answers To

2. Will The Fair Go Ahead?

Since the time-jump, there has been an evident conflict between Michonne and several of the members of Hilltop. Something clearly went down during that gap in the timeline, but for now let's focus on how this negative energy is affecting the fair that Ezekiel intends to host at The Kingdom.

The fair is not only The King's way of trying to maintain order and peace among the communities, it's also a way of resolving this conflict between Michonne and everyone else. Unfortunately, Michonne is reluctant to attend, which is perhaps the reason why it needs to happen, because otherwise she will remain on the outside for the rest of her life.

This may not be the only thing affecting the future of the fair, however, as The Whisperers pose a threat to any peace that may or may not be brokered between Michonne and the rest of the survivors. Celebrating hardly seems appropriate after what happened to Jesus, and with a new enemy looming around the corner, it's possible that the fair might not go ahead.
