3. Daryl & Rick's Heart-To-Heart

They might have been friends since the very beginning of the series, but the conflict between Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon has reached new heights. Since the ninth season began, the pair have struggled to agree on anything, and the animosity between the two is a direct result of Rick's decision to keep Negan alive.

Their heart-to-heart in The Obliged is a particular stand out moment from the episode. Perhaps even more brilliant is the way in which said heart-to-heart is initiated, when Daryl tackles Rick into a hole in the ground. With no evident way out of their predicament, the two characters are forced to discuss their differences, and it provides for an incredibly moving moment between the two brothers.

In the end, it's still not clear if they're on the same page, but they do now understand each other - at the very least, more than they did before this conversation. There is also an incredibly melancholic tone about the scene, because we know that Rick's life is coming to an end, so therefore this could be the last time the two characters have an opportunity to talk things out.
