The Walking Dead Season 9: 6 Ups & 1 Down From 'Stradivarius'
4. Neglected Characters Getting The Attention They Deserve

One of the primary reasons that the seventh and eighth seasons of the show are so reviled is because of the plethora of extended episodes which were devoted to characters that simply aren't important enough - or strong enough - to carry an entire hour of programming (looking at you, Tara). Since Scott Gimple stepped down from the role as the primary executive producer, this hasn't been an issue. The narrative progresses more rapidly in Season 9, and characters worthy of more attention are getting their moments to shine.
Stradivarius balances itself between several characters, and among them are Jesus and Aaron - both of whom have been ridiculously neglected over the past two seasons, despite the fact that they have so much potential. What's more, Henry is developing into a decent character, rather than the much-hated caricature he became during the previous season. If showrunner Angela Kang carries on with her vision, then The Walking Dead is going to be full of characters that could, if necessary, lead a full episode in the future.
