The X-Files: 10 Things We Learned From Babylon

1. Mulder's Trip Was The Second Best Thing This Season

As much as The X-Files badly needs to get back to its dramatic roots after this revival experiment if the show is to continue, one thing is certain: Much of Mulder's shroom fueled trip in Babylon was fantastic, and it is, frankly, the second best scene from the entire season to date, topped only by Guy Mann's recollections of being human (and the Scully Sex Scene) in Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster. From high-fiving hospital employees, walking into traffic, doing a backflip on the dance floor of a seedy country-western bar, partying with a pack of girls looking like aspiring strippers, drinking with the Lone Gunmen and Skinner, to flashing mushroom themed bling, the shroom trip scene in Babylon was just made for the GIF creators of social media havens like Tumblr and Twitter. When everything else from the episode is forgotten, including what a tease the return of Frohike, Byers, and Langly was, that scene will be remembered. There's just one episode to go.
