Pictured above is the character currently known as The Band-Aid Man. Take note of his clothing - not exactly well-kept, to say the least. There appears to be either dirt of blood stains on the front of his chest. His demeanor is completely chilling. And while it's hard to see in this shot, there's something like a band-aid taped under his nose. What makes this character noteworthy is his prominence in an episode that is now being called one of the most violent in X-Files history. According to an earlier report from TV Line, this is the second episode of the season, Home Again (which, despite sharing a title with an X-Files comic book story, is not supposed to be about the infamous Peacock family). Written and directed by Glen Morgan, little is known about the plot, but the character is described as "intimidating, odd, weary, creepy and immeasurably strong" - a "powerful, violent and frightening 'thought' come to life."
