The X-Files Revival: 21 WTF Moments From Episodes 3 & 4

12. R.I.P. Kim Manners

Kim Manners was an integral part of the original X-Files run. The director and producer lensed over fifty episodes of the series (that's about a quarter of the episodes produced) and was a producer, supervising producer, or co-executive producer for well over ninety of them. His stamp is all over the show, in other words. Sadly, Manners passed away in 2009 from lung cancer. Breaking Bad (created by X-Files writer Vince Gilligan) and Supernatural (with a number of X-Files alumni working on it) both dedicated episodes to him, but of course, at that point, The X-Files itself was off the air. So this gravestone was used in Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster as a tribute to Manners. It features his date of birth, death, and his own personal catch phrase, "lets kick it in the a**!"
