Whovians love a juicy Doctor Who fact. Like, did you know that Ridley Scott was originally tasked with designing the Daleks, and legendary composer Hans Zimmer played the keyboard in the infamous Doctor in Distress?
Unfortunately for us, our need to one-up each other by knowing more about the show than others around us can accidentally lead to inaccuracies. This is a time-travel show, so getting a little bit loose with history is part of the rite of passage. Just blame it on the Meddling Monk, really.
Some oft-touted Doctor Who "facts" aren't actually facts at all. Tumblr theories become urban legends which, over time, can become widely-held beliefs. In the age of misinformation and fake news, it's no surprise Doctor Who hasn't been immune.

10. David Tennant Was SHOCKED To See Billie Piper In The Stolen Earth
At the end of The Stolen Earth, after a series of big meetings between characters from across the NuWhoniverse in what is almost definitely the best crossover event ever put to screen (yes Marvel fans, I said what I said), we get to the big one: the reunion of the Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler, which had been heavily teased throughout Series 4.
David Tennant's performance in this scene was so great, that word quickly spread within the fanbase that he didn't know Billie Piper would be on set, which made his reaction completely genuine. Over the years this has become an oft-touted "fact" about the episode, but as you probably guessed from the title of this list, that is simply not the case at all.
It goes without saying that TV production is a long process of call sheets, scheduling, rehearsals, script readthroughs, and blocking. You can actually see a lot of the behind-the-scenes on this in the Doctor Who Confidential episode for The Stolen Earth.
And then there's the fact that this exterior sequence was actually shot after a lot of the other Doctor/Rose material in the story, including the Doctor's regeneration cliffhanger, and all the companions piloting the TARDIS in Journey's End. So the idea that Tennant would turn around on that street and be shocked to see Piper standing before him is utterly ludicrous.
Basically, David Tennant is just a bloody good actor!
